"Puzzlepiece Thoughts" Original Embroidery Art, 8 x 10 inches

$175.00
Sold Out

In 2021, I began to feel like things in my life were going to change. Everything looked the same, but I could feel that something new was coming. The tension was that I had no idea what the “new” was or when it was coming, so I started sorting through my thoughts and the details of my life trying to figure out what was next, just like a puzzle. Hopes, dreams, facts and fears all mingled together, moving around in my head without a known destination. This piece reflects the beginning of that time period and is the first in a series of work on Transition, which is what I call the season of mystery and motion when I’m “in-between” old and new.

  • Hand embroidery on 100% cotton fabric with cotton thread.

  • Mounted using archival techniques on conservation matboard with a cotton backing. This helps protect the stitching from sagging over time and prepares it for framing.

  • 8" (20.5cm) by 10" (25.5cm) and approximately 1/4 inch thick.

This artwork is intended to be displayed in a frame, but it can also be set on a floating shelf or bookshelf. If you are interested in custom framing or want to know more about how to best frame and care for embroidered pieces, please send me a message. I'd love to help!
